What is the Owner Portal?

The Owner Portal flips the PM Portal relationship. Instead of owners connecting to their PM's data, property managers proactively share portfolio information with their clients through a branded, read only dashboard.

Owners log in and see monthly statements, work order summaries, vacancy status, and financial performance across their properties. The PM controls exactly what data is visible and can customize the view for each owner.

Most owner portals show what the PM decides to show

Owners say the same thing about the portal their PM hands them. It shows what the PM decides to show, when they decide to show it. You wait for a monthly statement to get pushed instead of pulling current data when you want it. Live balances are rare. Documents that should be there go missing. And if you use more than one PM, you get a different login and a different format from each.

DoorVault is the owner portal that fixes this, and there are two ways to get there depending on who you are.

If you are the owner. Use DoorVault Connect. It reads the statements from each of your property managers and pulls them into one DoorVault account, so every property across every PM lives in a single dashboard with full reporting, document storage, and per property performance. After setup the only reason to open your PM's portal again is to log in. Everything you actually use lives in DoorVault.

If you are the property manager. Turn on the PM Portal Module with full Rent Manager integration. Your data flows straight from Rent Manager into each owner's DoorVault account, where the owner gets not just your statements but every DoorVault tool on top of them. The owner can unify the rest of their portfolio in the same place, which makes the portal you give them more valuable than anything a standalone PM system can hand out.

The owner portal is where you see it. Asset management is what you do with it. The portal shows the statement; the asset side turns it into performance, equity, and return across every property and every PM.

What you get with the Owner Portal

Monthly Statements

Owners see their monthly statements as soon as the PM finalizes them. Income, expenses, and net proceeds are broken down by property.

Work Order Summaries

Completed and open work orders are visible with costs and descriptions. Owners stay informed about maintenance without requesting reports.

Vacancy Status

Real time occupancy data across all properties. Owners know which units are vacant, which are being turned, and which have upcoming move outs.

Common questions
How is this different from the PM Portal?
The PM Portal is for owners who connect to their PM's system directly. The Owner Portal is for PMs who want to push data outward to their owner clients through a controlled, branded interface.
Can the PM customize what each owner sees?
Yes. The PM controls which properties, financial data, and report types are visible to each owner. Owners only see the properties they actually own.
When will the Owner Portal be available?
The Owner Portal is currently in development. Sign up to be notified when it launches.
Why can't I see live balances in my owner portal?
Most owner portals wait for the property manager to finalize and push a monthly statement, so you see last month's numbers instead of a live balance. DoorVault changes that. If you are an investor, DoorVault Connect reads your PM statements and shows current data in one dashboard. If your property manager runs DoorVault with full Rent Manager integration, the data flows straight into your account, so you can log in and see your numbers instead of emailing the PM and waiting for the next report.
Can I see all my properties in one place if I have multiple PMs?
The Owner Portal shows the properties one PM manages for you. If you use more than one property manager, each gives you a separate login and a separate format. To bring every property across every PM into one dashboard, use DoorVault Connect on the investor side, which reads each PM's statements and consolidates them into a single portfolio view.
